Pumpkin Patch

This was super difficult, just trying to get used to the way flash is organised.  Very challenging.

Hero Shots

I took a photo of some clinkers on a white background then laid over the top some sexy cursive writing.  I re painted the clinkers the same brown as the background to give the website continuity.  I then gave it a slight gradient so it wasn't too harsh.

For this I used an image I had on my I phone I took of my house when it was for sale.  I desaturated the image, used the history brush to re open the red bits.  The greyscale works well with the limited palette of the original web page.  I kept the same simple font that was given in the example as it is very similar to the realestate.com one.

For this web page I took a photo of a hard hat to symbolise the council workers working for the community.  I faded it slightly so it wasn't too over powering.  I used the same brown that is used in the right panel for the font.  The font is similar to the logo used and I used the cursive writing to try and give it the personal touch.

Web image formats

new submission,  makes the title have more contrast with the background and stand out more.

I uploaded the Jpeg as I could tell no difference in quality while viewing each image on the screen.

I adjusted each layer to be slightly opaque to try and subdue some of the strong colours and images.

The background is slightly green to enhance the living sus- tainably.  The images in the foreground are in greater focus to create depth and hierarchy.

I have deliberately separated the sus and tainably as a mild protest.  I have used the Hobart City as a back ground layer and I am poking fun at just how unsustainably we actually do live.  If we were truly conscientious of living sustainably the city would be filled with high rises instead of constantly spreading our urban sprawl into the outer suburbs.
